Very good choices! As for banks being better than 50 your totally right but i'm sure you'll agree with me that that aint sayin much for banks, hes also shite!
Could you imagine banks or 50 with lyrics as good as little brother??? I mean come on.Window shopper??? The wheels on the Bus' lol! The Game is twice as good as 50 for a start, but since you begged me not to say him I will crop up some other names of who are better than 50: Immortal Technique Nas AZ Jay Z Kanye West Joe Budden DJ Quik Lupe Fiasco Phaoroahe Monch Jedi Mind Tricks Little Brother PS: 50 Cent isn't even the best in G-Unit for a start. Banks is twice the rapper 50 is.:cool.
Got a new track from games new mixtape 'Stop Snitchin, Stop Lyin'. In.mp3 Heard that from the BWS site yesterday actually, I quite like it.
Its his last G-Unit diss hes doing too, and theres a little poke at G.Malone in there. I can't really see why Game had a pop at G.Malone though, just because he signed a $1.7m deal with Sony. I mean I would sign for that much, and he has a family to feed, and BWS weren't going to offer him a better deal. I do agree with Game too an extent that he was using the BWS Logo etc.

Independents Day is the worst album Royce has ever released. What do you mean by someone should sign him? He's already signatured to Koch Records. Hook up with Kanye? He already has, on the class track 'Heartbeat'. I'd advice you to listen to the album again, cause that recommendation was absolutely daft.
Put your hand bag away son. Lol j/k ave not heard any of his other albums just a few tracks and his em colabs.
I like it its not as if its crap now is it? An personally i like it. Didnt at first but it grew on me. Didnt royce have the chance to work with Dre and Eminem, but he fucked it up big time by slagging Dre off? It was either Royce or his label who said something, Or it could have been a load of shite. Eminem promised Royce a record deal with Aftermath if he would be patient, but he didn't see what the hold up was about.
Royce was writing lyrics for Dr Dre's Chronic 2001 album, noticeably he wrote 'The Message', on Chronic 2001. Somewhere during that time Interscope had a feud with Royce's manager. He was given a choice of either staying without his manager or leaving with his manager, he chose the latter. Apparently if this never happened D12 wouldn't have even existed. As the spark of Royce Da 5'9's departure lead Eminem to rekindle D12. Royce never slagged off Dr Dre, though he did state that Dre could've easily pulled the strings and given him a deal.
Let's get back to what really matters, the fact that Supreme Clientele is better than Liquid Swords. Disagree?I agree with this, Ghost even though sometimes his lyrics are hard to understand has a way with words where it just sounds like magic for example. 'Scooby Snack Jurassic Plastic Ass Boobie Trap' it doesn't make sense but it sounds so good. Anyways yeah Ghostface's lyrics are like abstract art.
I love Gza's voice though and he's definitly more gritty hardcore. But Wu-tang comes in all flavors. I was watching the special 'Shook Ones' on MTV Jams today, it was meant to be a round-table discussion by leading figures in hip hop music about the events that were significant to rap music in 2005, and one thing that they cited as a major event in Hip Hop in 2005 was of the 'Rise of H-Town' and the 'Fall of New York' in rap music. They cited the emergence of artists like Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Mike Jones, and Paul Wall as a new trend that was bringing hip hop music to Houston and to the South. Meanwhile, they went on to describe the inactivity and lack of success that artists from the Northeast have had this year. With the emergence of H-Town making a lot of progress, the resurrection of hip hop from the West by The Game, and the steady success of the Midwest by Kanye and Common, the Northeast and New York didn't have much to show for itself.
They cited Jay-Z's retirement, the lack of album production by heavy-hitters like Nas and DMX, and the meager sales of other East Coast artists such as Fat Joe or Ja Rule, and the waning success of G-Unit as a whole as being the resons for the East Coast not doing so well, this year. I don't know about you but I personally think that's total bullshit. If anything even remotely like that happened, it was hardly to the semi-revolutionary extent that was described on the special. Artists from Houston have gained popularity, but they're really not going anywhere.
I personally think Mike Jones and Paul Wall, as rich as they are and as hard as they work, are completely talentless and can't rap for shit. Chamillionaire and Slim Thug are definitely not anything special.
The Game has emerged looking like a total fool with absolutely no kind of credibility left in the industry. Common's nothing.
And Kanye West has had a great deal of success, but that's hardly anything to eclipse all of the talent in NY, after all he is under Jay-Z's label. Furthermore, the special said absolutely nothing about what the Diplomats and D-Block have done this year.
Both are way bigger than ever before. DipSet has their own movement in the Northeast and probably nationwide. 'Harlem: Diary of a Summer' and 'What the Game's Been Missing' are two of the greatest ablums of the year. Personally, I think the latter is the greatest album of the year.
They have a lot more talent than I've seen come from Houston and that I've seen shown by most Southern rappers in general, this year. I think this 'trend' thing is total fabricated bullshit. Do you guys think that this whole Rise of H-Town and Fall of NY is really what happened this year? Some guy at GTA San Andreas posted this on a SA forum, thought we might be interested. Wats good Gplay.its Ogopa in the flesh.bro its been a busy year for music. I have a feeling its gonna be a great year ( Akir, Lupe, Allies, etc) Long time no see Ogopa:).
Last year was pretty disappointing. Though like every year, I look forward to any Dr Dre production, still the best producer in the game. That 'Outta Control Remix' beat came out of nowhere and stole the summer. Although 9th Wonder is proving to be some competition also his partner in crime Khrysis. They've definetly been outstanding and consistent throughout 2005. Let's hope they do the same in 2006.
Also an album I await with anticipation is this: Superb producer. An album I've recently been listening to nonstop has been 9th Wonder and Buckshot's, 'Chemistry'. I love it, superb. 9th Wonder basically handles the production and Buckshots handles the rapping. The name is also self-explanatory and evident throughout the album that 9th and Buckshot have great chemistry.
To sum up the beats? They represent hiphop, their is no other way of explaining it apart from that. 9th Wonder has for a year or so now been arguably the best producer in hiphop. Buckshot raps about all sorts, from his view that men in this day an age should fight with their hands instead of hiding behind bazookas and all sorts, to a dairy of a normal day in his environment, his input to modern hiphop, the frustration at lack of salary being a fulltime rapper depsite being a good one, also what sets him apart from other rappers and people in general etc. You must enjoy this. I mean tracks like 'Chemistry 101', 'Food For Thought' and 'He's Back' are guaranteed to gain rotation from any hiphop purist.
Even though my favourite song on it is 'No Comparison', the beat + Buckshot's flow = sheer class. An album I've recently been listening to nonstop has been 9th Wonder and Buckshot's, 'Chemistry'. Also how do you lot know about all this underground artist? I find it hard to know about all these rappers? Guest appearances on albums Other forums. I'm a huge fan of MF DOOM so I check out that forum quite a bit. And as strangely as it seems I also like The Mars Volta (Not rap) and visit a fansite forum which has a hip-hop section. Here's some more recommendations: MF DOOM (A must!) Del The Funky Homosapian (His group Hieroglyphics is alright too) Killah Priest Tragedy Khadafi Pharaohe Monch (I don't think he exists anymore but Internal Affaris is a classic) Percee P The Danger Mouse & Jemini album.
Nah bro.get Confessions of fire instead. Its his best album.
Best songs of there are Prophecy and D Rugs. Thanks man, I'll check it out.

Cheers for that Gunplay, sounds great so far!! (I have been listening to this for a while now, and its been getting better and better. Don't know why but I'm really starting to enjoy and appreciate it alot more now then I did some months/years ago. The only thing that spoils this for me is the Skits/Intermissions, I still don't honestly see much point in them. Same with any album though.
Do people still think this album is as good as ever, if not better? Love it myself. Are you being serious? If you are a fellow Londoner like me, then hit up the Oxford Street area. They're atleast 8 record shops all on the same block.
Sitting infront of the computer will do you no favours, as far as finding out about underground artists. You should be using your location to your advantage mate. Dark and Cold just closed down in Tottenham court road, so do you know if they moved to another area or what?please give me the address.
Also i don't know any other hip/hop stores in London i'm afraid. Also about Cam the guy is suspect he drives around in a pink Cadillacs and shit.doesn't surprise me when he drove into the hood he got shot:rolleyes.Bitch ass nigga:laugh: Skyzoo- History (J.Dilla Beat). 9W1FRL This is nice have you got more of his material?

I'm hip-hop connoisseurs like yourselves have heard this already, but just incase you haven't here's a great track by Kreators called foreign lands. Superb track, maybe a tad long but great nonetheless. Keep your ears open for the extremely brief erykah badu sample. Here ya go lads, never uploaded anything on megaupload before so hope this works! Fucking hell!
What a track mate. Pure lyricism, exemplified.
Cormega has to be one of the realest hip hop artists ever. I don't think anyone gets more real than him. No hypocrisy. Did like what 3 years or so for cocaine trafficking. While in prison he was one the boxing champions.
I've read he took a lot of little kids to an amusement park. He doesn't sell-out with bullshit songs. I can't wait till his new releases: Here's some works that recently came out: Freestyle with Red Cafe (Cormega is second) N52QC8 Lakey The Kid ft. Cormega (First verse), Fat Joe, Cuba - Dirty NY: 8DQCMF I highly suggest getting the The Realness & The True Meaning special edition double album. It will not disappoint. I'm really glad he chose to do a video for that rather than We Major, which despite being brilliantly produced was rather weak. Though I liked Gone better than Touch the Sky.
Anyway, has anyone got Ghetto Pop Life by Dangermouse and Jemini? I just got it today and the Danger does an amazing job, I though the production on The Mouse and the Mask was average with a few great bits, so this was quite surprising. Jemini is decent, he fits the beats well, though lyrically he's merely above average. Good album overall. I'm really glad he chose to do a video for that rather than We Major, which despite being brilliantly produced was rather weak.

After the class Dangerdoom collab, I was quick to grab the previous material with Jemini, which I thought was very disappointing. Guess he learnt from it. Quite offtopic but. Have you heard bits of his recent 'Gnarls Barkley' project?
It's just his production fused by the charismatic Cee-Lo. It is outrageous, beautiful music basically. I thought that 'Crack Music' was easily one of the best tracks on the album as well as 'Addiction'.The removal of The Game's verse on Crack Music weakened it's punch.
Still unsure as to why Kanye took it out. I don't even mean to sound like a naive moron, but are you being serious?
Hell On Earth Movie
I know it's your opinion and all, but that's arguably the worst song on the album. And Drive Slow is class too, love that song. The lyrics/concept and the incredible Hank Crawford sample.
Which I just remembered was previously used for 2pac's 'Shorty Wanna Be A Thug'. Better than Touch The Sky? That's a first mate.
It's mostly because I had Touch the Sky on constant rotation when I first heard it, so naturally it got a little old. Nope, didn't even know about it. Has anybody heard how Kanye West has spent a whopping $2million, out of his own pocket for his next single 'Touch The Sky'? That's my favourite song off The Late Registration, can't wait to see how class the video will be. If it's anything close to 'Daimonds From Sierra Leone' which I thought was the greatest music video of 2005 and one of the greatest music videos ever, then I'd be satisfied.
Stupid greedy motherfucking son of a bitch. Egocentric selfish fuck could've just given 2 million to some poor people in Africa but he spent it on some video so he can make even mroe money fucking rap artists can kiss my ass. Can anyone comment on this? Please comment on the one before, and this one: My Life I'm sitting on a chair, this pain I cannot bear, it's to much, no, leave me alone, fuckoff, I've had enough. Fuckin dick youre a prick:lol. Anybody heard of Little Brother?
I know their album is out for quite some time now, but I label it a classic. Refreshing, something different; Im Lovin' It;) Little Brother, aye mate they release some quality stuff. Although I haven't been fortunate enough to get my hands on their album yet but I plan too soon.
I've downloaded a few of the songs off 'The Minstrel Show' and immediately I knew I had to buy the album. As you said, their music is very refreshing and as GP described Kanye West a while ago 'A breath of fresh air'. Whats your favourite song by them? For me, from what I have heard I like 'We Got Now' and 'Say It Again'.
Also if I really want to relax I may listen to 'Cheatin'.:cool. Little Brother, aye mate they release some quality stuff.

For me, from what I have heard I like 'We Got Now' and 'Say It Again'. Also if I really want to relax I may listen to 'Cheatin'.:happy: Certainly one of the top 5 hiphop releases last year, I only rated The Documentary higher last year. Those Jay/Nas and Jenna/50 cent track lead me to believe that the playlist is fake.
A Newbury Comics exclusive color vinyl pressing. By the time Mobb Deep hit with their third album – Hell On Earth – they were solidified street legends.
Coming off the critically acclaimed The Infamous, Havoc and Prodigy hit the lab and came back with a soundtrack that is fitting to its title. Havocs production is atmospheric; laced with his trademark drums loops and sharp pianos stabs. Add Prodigys trademark flow and its evident that the pairing is such an amazing match. While Hell On Earth is essentially a continuation of The Infamous you can still hear the growth in both performers and Hell On Earth stands as some of their best work. The album features guest appearances by Nas, Raekwon, Method Man, and frequent collaborator Big Noyd.
The album stands out for its acclaimed singles G.O.D. III and Hell on Earth (Front Lines), as well as Drop a Gem on Em. Standout album cuts are Animal Instinct, Bloodsport, More Trife Life and Cant Get Enough. The previously as a B Side Still Shinin still rings off and rounding out the album is the deep Apostles Warning.
This album is essential listening and a must have and we are excited to have it back in print on double LP.
